요약
The Actor-Network Theory (ANT) established by Bruno Latour et al. is a theory that regards humans and non-humans as ontologically equal, and is drawing attention as an open thinking model based on the interrelationships of individuals. In order to examine the research methods of design and design history, this paper focuses on the following two points. First, I will look at Latour's criticism of modernity as the theoretical basis for the'generalized symmetry', which is the core concept of ANT. Through this, it corrects not only the design but also the asymmetrical view of modern science in general, and establishes the minimum conditions for self-regulation or self-description of the science. Furthermore, based on Latour's concept of ‘subject’, the characteristics and aspects of the design subject are investigated. The entities to be registered in the design area for design research are the mediating actors before being classified as the whole subject or object. As human and non-human actors, which have been hidden so far, appear and are specifically arranged, the established thinking structures and lifestyles must give place to this new coalition. To this end, the concepts of'line-to-wire design' and'design in the process of being created' can be proposed, which perform new arrangements and translations.행위자–연결망 이론, 라투르, 근대성, 준 대상, 디자인, 공예
